How we accept submissions:

WHAT TO SEND:

If you would like us to consider reviewing your work, please send us an envelope that includes the following:

1. Five to ten images of what you consider to be your best work. These images may be sent in the form of slides, JPG images on a CD, photographs or printed images on paper.

a. In the case of slides: label each slide with your name, title of the work, dimensions of the work, media and year.

b. In the case of JPG images on CD: each JPG image should bear the name of the work as the file name. A separate sheet should be included listing your name, title of the work, dimensions of the work, media and year.

c. In the case of photographs: each photograph should be labeled on the back with your name, title of the work, dimensions of the work, media and year.

d. In the case of printed images on paper: each image should be printed separately and should be labeled with your name, title of the work, dimensions of the work, media and year.

2. A stamped, self-addressed envelope if you would like the material returned to you. If you are currently at a temporary address, put your permanent address on the envelope.

3. A short cover letter telling us why you are sending us the materials.

4. A biography, resume and/or artist statement.

5. A NOTE ON THE OUTSIDE OF THE ENVELOPE THAT SAYS: "ATTENTION: ARTIST SUBMISSIONS" The envelope should be addressed as follows:

WHAT NOT TO SEND:

6. Never send original material.

7. Please do not send artist submissions via e-mail or videotape.

WHAT TO DO AFTER SENDING MATERIALS:

Aspen Colors Gallery receives an enormous amount of submissions, and because we give consideration to each artist’s submission, the process can take some time. Please be patient. You will receive correspondence from us once we have reviewed your material completely.
